Special Delicious Recipes are for Special People

Last Saturday I hosted a barbecue for friends and family. It was such a wonderful day that included my friend Jo from mylastbite.com and my new friend Phil from mylifeasafoodie.com

I started cooking the week before, freezing some of the appetizers so I’d have plenty of time to cook other dishes. Altogether I had 14 different recipes to share with everyone.

The tradition I follow, when I have a dinner party, is very simple. There should be lots of food, lots of love and lots of fun… then, even after I’ve cooked for days, I’m completely satisfied and happy!

  5. Your pictures leave me hungry and exhausted! That looks to have been truly a remarkable feast. Is the roasted pepper-walnut pesto served as a dip for vegetables/pita bread?

  10. The Bamiya bitshahi, i wish i can see this size at the store here, I find the fresh couple of time in the summer, and i have to settle for frozen bags during the season….

  11. […] If you’re looking for a terrific (yet casual) evening out in Glasgow’s West End, I highly recommend Persia Restaurant. So many of the flavors reminded of my friend Afaf’s Syrian cooking (I miss her food!). […]
